Pregnant? Just found out you're pregnant?
It's never too late to get the facts about alcohol and pregnancy.
Treating the Mother, Protecting the Unborn
Establishing the safety of medications and other exposures in pregnancy and lactation is one of the most challenging tasks for practicing physicians. With about fifty percent of all pregnancies unplanned, large numbers of women are seeing their health care providers after taking medications for chronic conditions, or being exposed to infectious diseases, chemicals in the workplace or home and other common exposures. This website is designed to help you answer those questions with information from Motherisk, Canada's leading teratogen research and counseling program.
