Paternal exposure to Methotrexate

Question:
A man takes, because he has rheumatoid arthritis, every week, methotrexate 75 mg. Now his wife is pregnant. I ask: will the embryo or the fetus have any damage? If yes,what and how much per cent? I'm waiting for an answer and send you many greetings from Italy.

Answer:
Methotrexate may cause oligospermia, but there is no evidence of damaged sperm that will cause malformations in humans.
