Shinya Ito, MD

Head, Division of Clinical Pharmacology & Toxicology, The Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada


Dr. Ito is a clinical staff member at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, a scientist at the Research Institute, the Medical Director of the Breast- Feeding Program, and an active member of the Motherisk Program and Drug Safety Research Group at the University of Toronto. His main research area is cellular drug transport mechanisms, including drug excretion into breast milk.
