My fiance is 6 weeks pregnant and we just recently returned from the ER because of dehydration. They wrote her a script for Reglan (Metoclopramide) and I want to know if it is safe, and its potential harmful side-effects?
Please see the Motherisk treatment algorithm on this website. It lists Reglan as one of the options for treatment of NVP/HG. To ascertain its safety, please speak to a Motherisk counselor at (416) 813-6780. You may also wish to consult a teratogen service in your area. To find one go to the OTIS website. For further information on how to deal with NVP symptom, call the Motherisk NVP Helpline at 1-800-436-8477.
