When nausea persists even with medication

NVP Counselor
Date: 2006-10-25

I am 13 weeks pregnant and I am on diclectin. I take 1 pill in the morning, noon and night and I am still nauseated. I am a petite person and I haven't gained any weight. I have mentioned this to my O/B but he says it is the sign of a healthy pregnancy. I am also extremely tired to the point I had to go on STD as I am unable to function at work. There are days I can't even drink water. PLEASE HELP ME

Consult your physician. It is possible that you still have nausea because you are not taking enough Diclectin. The standard dose is 4 tablets/day: 1 in the morning and noon and 2 in the evening. Some women have taken up to 8 tablet/day with no ill effects on themselves or their babies.
