Question:
Please can you tell me if there is someone or an organisation taht I can contact here in the UK.
I am planning a 2nd pregnancy was so ill with HG that I had medical intervention and am very scared at having it again, especially with another child now to look after and a job to keep.
Your organisation is wonderful for Canada and I would be so grateful if you can offer any help or a contact for me in the UK or London. I'm sure there a lots of other ladies who would like the same info.
I would very much appreciate a reply.
Thank you!
Answer:
We certainly understand your desire to plan ahead, but keep in mind that each pregnancy is different. Your experience with NVP the second time around may not be as severe. Talk to your doctor about taking a vitamin B6 supplement before you become pregnant (some doctors recommend taking 25 mg three times a day).
Also, if you treat NVP as soon as it occurs, you may prevent severe symptoms. Please read the other questions and answers below to learn more about Diclectin, vitamin B6 and doxylamine succinate. As far as a referral for NVP/HG in England, we will attempt to communicate with one of our contacts there and will get back to you on that.
