Question:
During my first pregnancy I was hospitalized for HG several times. We are thinking of having a second child and I'm in the process of gathering info to make this pregnancy less traumatic. What exactly is the Zofran pump and how effective is it?
Answer:
This is something you will need to discuss with
the physician who will be treating you. At Motherisk,
we published a study on the safety of Zofran use in
pregnancy and did not find an increase risk for birth
defects or any other side effects with the infants
exposed.
